The trust factor

The more I see “incentivized” reviews or that a user received a free product in exchange for a review, the less I trust the product or the seller.

Without any real analysis, it seems that reviews are trending more positive since so many are now incentivized. It certainly seems so when I read reviews and hardly any seem critical of a product. They appear to be either glowing or mediocre but not many seem to share negative feedback.

To be clear, I’m not seeking negativity. What I want is to hear about real and unbiased experiences. That’s why we started Chasing Summer…. to share honest and authentic reviews that provide real insight.
